Closing Session | Stage 1
Host: Women Political Leaders & The Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s Presidential Center for Women and Development.
The high-level closing panel will reflect on what is needed to achieve a healthy society for people across the globe. This intergenerational conversation will share a clear vision of a people-centred future, with a focus on parity.
While we are reimagining the future of education and work, innovating to bridge the digital divide or to improve health access, and fighting inequalities and injustices, the future of leadership will be the fulcrum of our healthy society. The panelists aim to offer innovative insight and solutions to help increase women’s leadership in every aspect of our society.
The current pandemic has shown us that women are at the frontline in the COVID-19 response and recovery. Now is a pivotal moment to create a permanent shift in attitudes toward women in positions of leadership – in the political spheres, but also in all sectors and aspects of life. To reach a sustainable future, the full potential of half the population needs to be achieved too.
